Rest Day. Ain’t nothing wrong with that.

I mean, I get it… but I LOVE rest day.  In fact, according to my half marathon training plan, today isn’t really even a rest day.  It’s a two mile tempo run.  But I’m feeling kind of stiff and creaky from CrossFit, and I’m running the Chicago Women Rock Half Marathon on Saturday, so I’m just going to go ahead and make it a rest day today.

Plus I checked out the WOD on the CrossFit page and it involves 135 wallballs.  Um, pass.  I want to actually run the half instead of just limping it.

Does it sound more respectable if I call it tapering? 

In celebration of rest day, Piper (4-year-old daughter) and I watched a video about sloths, the laziest animal on Earth,  on National Geographic Kids and then drew our own sloth pictures.  Feast your eyes on our masterpieces.Image
