We had so much fun here at Lively hosting BFF’s annual Winter Running Fashion Show! It was the second time this local run club has organized such an event to demonstrate proper layering and the latest gear and apparel for women who are willing to brave the cold and stay active outdoors all year round.
Guests sipped wine and snacked on appetizers, and everyone received a killer swag bag stuffed with goodies, plus a raffle ticket with the chance to win a number of awesome prizes. One lucky attendee scored a free Garmin Forerunner GPS watch!
Here are photos of the event (special thanks to Lively spouse Ronnie Marlin for taking them!), and be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page for news about other cool upcoming events.
Altra and Amphipod were represented at the event, and both contributed generously to the raffle. BFF-er Teri won a free pair of shoes!

Personal trainer and fitness instructor Ayesha modeled clothes for 40-50 degree weather.
Jen shows another option for those warmer 40-50 degree days.
Teri modeled clothes for 30-40 degree weather when visibility is low, and apparel doesn’t get more visible than the Sugoi Zap Jacket.
Aimee demonstrated proper layering and safety for 20-30 degree runs.
The perfect base layer is lightweight, moisture-wicking, and fitted to keep in your body heat and layer well under a jacket or vest.
For seriously cold weather, runner Jaime wears a balaclava and our warmest tights and tops.
Magnetic Amphipod Vizlets reflect light from oncoming traffic and have a flashing LED light for the best in visibility.
Maggie wears fast-drying clothes for rainy days, with the option to layer on a 100% waterproof Icebreaker jacket in really nasty weather.
As our customers know, Lively isn’t just for runners! Lisa rocks a yoga outfit that can take you from studio to street in style.
Each swag bag contained a list of what the models were wearing, so attendees could circle their faves as they watched, then shop for those items after.
Oak Park runner Beth won a TriggerPoint 2.0 foam roller in the raffle, a $65 value!

BFF had a table in the back to sell their branded gear and enroll new members.
The best photo of the night, in our opinion.
Wardrobe consultant Suze Solari was in attendance as well, scoping athletic styles for winter 2015-2016. She writes for the Wednesday Journal, and you can find her fashion blog here. She’s pictured here with local PR consultant Jenny Shepherd.
